Summer Session Registration is OPEN

Summer Session 2023 registration is now OPEN. If you are interested in taking Art, Health, PE, and/or Accelerated Geometry, please register using the form located on the school website under "Summer 2023". Registration closes on Thursday, May 25. Payment is made at the time of online registration. Classes begin on May 30 and end on June 23. See Mrs. Cichon if you have any questions.

AP Exams, May 1 through May 11

Please be reminded that students may not "hang out" around the school after or before their AP exam.  For morning AP exams, students may either leave once the exam is over or attend their regular classes for the remainder of the school day.  For AP exams starting at noon, students may attend their scheduled classes until the exam starts or arrive at school approximately 15 minutes before the exam start time. Please contact Mr. Baxter in the counseling office if you have any questions.

Spring Semester Art Exhibit, “The Originals #2”

The art students of the St. Mary’s Fine Arts Department cordially invite you to attend their end of the Spring Semester Art Exhibit entitled, “The Originals #2,” downtown Colorado Springs. The exhibit will be on display at the UCCS Art Gallery at 102 S. Tejon st. Suite 105-A. The Grand Opening event will be on May 5 from 5:30 - 9:00 pm in conjunction with the city’s first Friday Art Walk.  The exhibit will display St. Mary’s student original artwork from April 21 to May 21 from 9:00 am-5:00 pm. Please stop by the exhibit when you find yourself downtown! 

Hope For The Journey Conference

This diocese-wide conference is for parents and teachers of fostered/adopted kids to learn about a trust-based approach to caring for children with attachment trauma. You may have seen an article about it in the Catholic Herald. West Point Admissions Informational Meeting

Tuesday, May 9 at 5:30 pm at the downtown Colorado Springs, Penrose Library. The presentation is designed to help you learn more about West Point including the admissions procedures, academic and athletic programs, cadet life, and career opportunities after graduation.

ATTENTION: AP Lang Students

Mrs. Knoepke will be hosting a dinner for AP Lang students in the Cove from 5:00-8:00 pm on May 8 to celebrate the upcoming AP Lang national exam on May 10. All registered AP Lang students are invited to attend. Pasta, salad, garlic bread and brownies will be served.

Are you interested in environmental science or outdoor education? The Catamount Institute has a Generation Wild Internship for a high school student over age 16 who lives in Southeast Colorado Springs or Fountain. It pays $3,000 if they can commit to the entire summer (May 30 - August 15)! Parents can submit their financial information via FACTS in order to receive the $1,000 tuition discount for the 2023-2024 school year. Please contact Linda O’Connor in the Business Office with any questions.

Fri, May 12 - Senior Mass and Rose/Candle ceremony in PM in the gym. Parents are invited.

May 15, 16, 17 - Seniors take final exams & clean out lockers, return books & chromebook. Regular school day for Freshmen, Sophomores, & Juniors.

Thu, May 18 - No Seniors. Regular school day for Freshmen, Sophomores, & Juniors.

Fri, May 19 - NO School. Senior Breakfast in the Cove 8-10 am. Graduation practice 10:30 am at St. Mary's Cathedral.

Sun, May 21 - Baccalaureate Mass at 6:00 pm at St. Mary's Cathedral followed by awards for Seniors. This Mass fulfills your Sunday obligation.

Mon, May 22 - NO School. Graduation at 9:00 am at St. Mary's Cathedral, followed by cake in the church hall downstairs. Parking available at 2 garages, one block east of church.

May 23 - Final exams for periods 7, 6, 5.

May 24 - Final exams for periods 4, 3.

May 25 - Final exams for periods 2, 1. Clean out lockers; return books & chromebook.

May 30 - Summer session begins.

June 23 - Summer session ends.

August 16 - First day of school for 2023-24 school year!
