Board of Directors Meeting, MOVED to Monday, Mar. 20

The March board of directors meeting will take place on Monday, Mar. 20 at 6:00 p.m. in the Resource Center. The west doors will be open at 5:45 p.m.

2023 Yearbooks & Parent Ads - DEADLINE IS TOMORROW, March 18

The 2023 yearbook is now on sale at the following site:

Parents who wish to personalize their child's yearbook can go to the above Jostens' site and choose the link for Yearbook Recognition Ads. After creating an account, they then can create the ad using the tools in that menu. Parent ads must be submitted by Feb. 10. Parent’s Guide to Internet Safety

John DiGirolamo, a critically acclaimed Catholic author, is presenting common sense tips for parents for internet and social media safety. He will go over the dangers of online predators and how children naively interact with them. The latest statistic is that 85% of children under the age of 13 are exposed to inappropriate content online. The times demand that parents catch up with the dangers of popular apps and their child’s on-line activities. John's presentation will take place March 20 from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. at St. Peter Parish in Monument.

SAT at SMHS

St. Mary’s High School is excited to offer the SAT to their students on Wednesday, April 12.  Cost of the exam is $60. PLEASE MAKE CHECK OR MONEY ORDER PAYABLE TO ST. MARY’S HIGH SCHOOL. Please write “SAT” on the check’s memo line. You may also contact the SMHS Business Office to make a payment by credit card. ALL orders must be returned to the Counseling Center or Business Office by Friday April 7. Please contact Mr. Baxter in the Counseling Center with any questions.

ACE Financial Assistance, ENDS APRIL 18

ACE Financial Assistance applications for the 2023-2024 school year opened on Monday, February 6th at 9 am MT and will remain open through tax day, Tuesday, April 18 at 10:59 p.m. MT.

 The ACE Scholarships Colorado 2023-2024 Application is completed using your FACTS account used to apply for St. Mary’s High School Financial Assistance.

FACTS Reminder - Tuition Discount Available

Rocky Mountain Youth Leadership Conference, June 12-16

The Rocky Mountain Youth Leadership Foundation (RMYLF) was incorporated in 1990 as a Colorado nonprofit foundation, and its mission is to conduct an annual leadership conference for rising high school seniors to develop youth leadership skills and to educate attendees in patriotism and the free enterprise system of America.

If your student is interested in being nominated to attend the Rocky Mountain Youth Leadership Conference in June at Colorado State University Pueblo, please apply online by going to https://www.rmylf.org/applicat.... The deadline to apply is April 7.

Spring Sports Gate and Concession Volunteers

Want an easy way to earn some money for your SMHS sports team? Consider volunteering to work the gate or concession stand for the spring sports season. Remember at the end of the season, the money will be split between the booster club and the team that you represent.

Junior Parent College Information Night

There will be a junior parents college information night on Monday, March 20 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Cove. Parents, this will be a very informative presentation by Mr. Baxter and a college admission representative to answer all your questions about the admissions process.

Senior Scholarship Opportunity, DEADLINE is MARCH 24

The Kinnikinnik Chapter of the National Society DAR will be awarding a $1,500 scholarship to a Pikes Peak area high school senior. The application deadline is March 24. Students may pick up an application from Mr. Baxter in the Counseling Center.
