ST. MARY'S
PARENT PIRATE CREW
At St. Mary's High School, we recognize the importance of parental involvement in our students' activities. Our parents are an energetic, vibrant part of our family who wholeheartedly support the students, faculty, and staff at St. Mary’s. All of our students benefit from our parents' time, knowledge, and experience. Our students' successes are a testament to the extraordinary talent and commitment of our teachers, staff, parents, and countless others who support Catholic schools and help St. Mary’s accomplish our mission to be an excellent Catholic high school.
The Parent Pirate Crew (PPC) is St. Mary’s parent organization. They help support the students, staff, and community of St. Mary's through parent support and involvement. The PPC meets on the second Tuesday of each month. Below are some volunteer opportunities:
Help in the Cove
Liaison with the student body leadership
Help with Booster Club including concessions, future pirate nights and homecoming
Help with the golf tournament
Hospitality including Teacher Appreciation week
Help with the Gala
Help with Graduation and Senior Events
St. Mary’s High School operates under a governance model in which the Board of Directors and the school administration have distinct and complementary roles. The Board is responsible for governance, mission stewardship, strategic direction, and financial oversight.
The day-to-day operation of the school—including academic programs, student life, personnel matters, and parent concerns—is the responsibility of the Head of School and administrative leadership. The administration is accountable to the Board for carrying out the Board’s policies and advancing the school’s mission.
St. Mary’s High School is committed to addressing questions, concerns, or suggestions in a respectful, timely, and orderly manner. Parents and guardians are encouraged to use the Issue Resolution Form to share concerns related to school operations, programs, or student experience. The Issue Resolution Forms can be sent to the Dean of Students, and if deemed appropriate, it may then be referred to the Board for further consideration in accordance with our governance structure.
Submitting this form ensures that concerns are reviewed by the appropriate school administrators first and addressed at the proper level. This process helps promote clear communication, due diligence, and fair resolution while supporting a healthy partnership between families and the school, as well as the Board and administration.
