Yearbooks Arriving in Early August

The 2022 yearbooks are shipping next week from the printer and should arrive on campus in early August. We will send out instructions for pick up once we have the books in hand. Producing a summer delivery yearbook allows us to include the entire school year in the book, including spring sports which this year included some state titles and state championship games. Thanks for your patience.

Plan to Attend PPC Social, Sign Up for Cornhole Tournament

The Pirate Parent Crew (our PTO) is hosting its first Cornhole Tournament on Saturday Aug. 13. Two tournament sessions will be offered: one from 3 pm to 5 pm, the second from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Even if you aren’t planning to take part in the tournament, families are encouraged to come and hang out during the PPC social from 5 pm to 9 pm. Spikeball and other games will be set up for students and others not in the tournament to enjoy. For more information and to sign up for the tournament, visit St Mary's Cornhole Tournament Registration

Volunteers Need for Face Painting Booth

Volunteers are needed to man the St. Mary’s face painting booth at the St. Peter's parish picnic at Fox Run Park on Sunday, Aug. 14, from 11:30 a - 2 p. Students and parents can earn volunteer hours and you do not need to be an artist.  Please contact Mrs. Krasovec at rkrasovec@smhscs.org by Thursday, July 28, if you are interested.

Parent Volunteer Hours Now Tracked

As noted in the Parent Information Packet, St. Mary’s will again track parent volunteer hours as we recognize the importance of parents being involved in our school community. Parents are expected to volunteer a minimum of 30 hours each school year (June 1-May 31) in activities that directly support the SMHS community. Families may choose to opt out of volunteering by paying a $450 fee. Hours are tracked using the MobileServe app. Information and instructions on using the app can be found on the Pirate Parent page on our website.

On-Campus Store to Open in August

This summer our Pirate Parent Crew is restocking the on-campus Pirate Store with apparel and swag for the coming year! The store will open the first week of August for students to come in and buy approved St. Mary’s shirts that adhere to the new dress code.

Service Opportunity for Parents, Students Helping with Our Archives

St. Mary's will have several on-going service opportunities this year to organize many archive materials that have accumulated and need to be prepared for preservation. Projects will include photo archives, scrapbook materials, and data research from our yearbooks.  Any parent or student interested in helping, please contact Joe Trechter at jtrechter@smhscs.org for more details.
