Students will receive their 2022-2023 school schedule on Tuesday, Aug. 2.
Student schedules are generated from the course request forms completed by the students during the spring. Every effort will be made to give the student their first choice of electives, but this is not always possible. A student may only change his/her schedule for the reasons listed below and during the following times.
Counselor Eric Baxter will accept schedule change requests via email at firstname.lastname@example.org; requests must be sent by a parent/guardian. If a student or parent/guardian would prefer to meet with Mr. Baxter to discuss schedule changes, appointments may be scheduled for the dates below through Sign Up Genius using this link.
- Wednesday, Aug. 3: 11th & 12th grade schedule changes
- Thursday, Aug. 4: 9th & 10th grade schedule changes
- Friday, Aug. 5: All grades
Changes may be made for the following reasons:
- Not enough classes (less than 7 periods)
- Does not meet prerequisites for a course
- Educationally misplaced
- To adjust the strength of the schedule
Examples of unacceptable change requests include:
- Requests based on teacher of class
- Being in a class with friends
- Changing the class to a different period
Schedule changes are allowed within the first five days of each semester. After day five, changes are limited to educational misplacements. In these instances, the student must meet with the counselor, fill out the “schedule change request form,” and return the form with all necessary signatures. Any other changes after the first five days will result in an “F” grade unless the student was determined to be educationally misplaced. Students must attend the classes that appear on their original schedule until the changes are complete in Infinite Campus.
REMEMBER: Changes are NOT final until your counselor approves them and officially changes your schedule in Infinite Campus.
