Prayers for the Stinar Family
It is with great sadness that John and Aimee Stinar share the news of the passing of their son John Ryan Stinar. John Ryan is the brother of Peter ’21 and Daniel ’23. John Stinar is the chair of our St. Mary’s Board of Directors. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul Catholic Church on Monday, Feb. 21, at 10 am. Reception to follow at the Pinery. Please keep the Stinar family in your prayers.

Student Volunteers Needed for Catholic Charities Gala
Catholic Charities is looking for up to 15 student volunteers to help at their 21st annual St. Patrick’s Day Gala on Saturday, March 12, at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort from 4-10 pm.  Please contact Mrs. Cichon (jcichon@smhscs.org) to sign up.

Re-enroll NOW
If you have not completed the re-enrollment form for the 2022-2023 academic year, please click here to access the online form. To be considered for tuition assistance, your student must be enrolled. Registration fee is $500, but will increase to $600 on April 16.

School Alert Notifications
Just a reminder that school alerts, such as cancellations or delays, are communicated via phone call, text message and email. If you are not receiving text messages and would like to, please contact Jeanne Cichon, registrar, to ensure that your number is correct and is a cell number (not a landline). Our system shows that several families have opted out of these text messages. If you opted out at some point but would like to opt back in, text START to 98900.

Order Now to Guarantee Your Yearbook
For the yearbook staff, the end of February means it is time to determine how many yearbooks to order. To guarantee your student receives a yearbook, please have your orders in by the end of this month. Orders can be placed either online through Jostens or at the St. Mary's Business Office. Cost is currently $93. This year’s book will be delivered over the summer, so that it can include prom and graduation, but we will have pages for students to sign and will host a yearbook signing on April 29 at school.

Yearbook Senior Recognition Ad Deadline
Senior recognition ads should be placed no later than March 18. You can create your ad on the Jostens website. If you have questions, please contact Ms. Partain, yearbook adviser, at apartain@smhscs.org.

Reminder About Dress Code
Just a reminder that the only exception to the dress code in the handbook is that sweatshirts and hoodies may now be worn every day. Acceptable designs are listed in the Dress Down Day dress code. We will continue to have Dress Down Wednesdays for $1 on which students can also wear jeans.

Thanks Bingo Volunteers, Helpers Still Needed
Thanks to all who have volunteered to help with bingo sessions. Selling the “pull tab” games at Bingo World is easy, fun, counts as community service hours, and brings in revenue for St. Mary’s. Times for the St. Mary’s sessions are listed on the Bingo Sign-up Genius, where you can schedule yourself to help. Learn more about this program in the News section of our website
