Consecration of Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

From Bishop James Golka:
“On Friday, March 25, during the Celebration of Penance at St. Peter’s Basilica at which he will preside at 5 pm Rome time, Pope Francis will consecrate Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The same act, on the same day, will be carried out in Fatima, Portugal, by His Eminence Cardinal Krajewski, Apostolic Almoner, as envoy of the Holy Father. As Bishop of Colorado Springs, I want to thank those of you who have reached out encouraging our diocese to participate in this important prayer. I invite everyone to join me in the prayer of consecration on Friday, March 25, at 10 am on the west side of the cathedral in front of the statue of Our Lady of Fatima.”

Town Hall on Monday, March 28
The next town hall meeting will be Monday, March 28, at 6 pm.  We will host the town hall both in-person (in the Resource Center) and online (Google Meet link available the day off). It will be a Q&A format. If you cannot attend in-person or virtually, but would like to submit a question for consideration, you may email it to: StMary@smhscs.org. Also, please remember that if you have questions, you do not need to wait until a coffee, town hall, or board meeting. Reach out to Deacon Rob (rrysavy@smhscs.org) or Mrs. Cross (rcross@smhscs.org) and they will be happy to answer those questions!

No More Chromebook Check-outs after Spring Break
Due to missing chromebooks that are not being returned to the charging carts in the Front Office, we will cancel our “Chromebook Check-out” program after Spring Break. We have reminded students and asked for their return, but we are currently missing 48 Chromebooks.  St. Mary's cannot afford to replace these Chromebooks that were purchased with our own funds (not part of the “COVID” Chromebook program).  Therefore, beginning Monday, March 28, all students will be expected to have their own registered SMHS Chromebook. Please complete the necessary paperwork using this link. Students may not bring their personal computers to school. Students on accommodation plans will be assessed on an individual basis. Yearbook, journalism and dual enrollment classes may use their personal computers during these classes only.

Attendance and Absences
Parents please remember to contact the Front Desk for all attendance-related issues (students who are both tardy or absent). If students are not sick or quarantined, we expect them to be on campus for in-person classes.
