St. Mary's competitive shooting team came away from this summer's state competition with three first place finishes (varsity trap, open trap, and JV trap) and three third place finishes (JV trap, JV skeet and JV sporting clays)! Then at nationals the JV squad placed second in the doubles trap discipline and Shane Gillis placed fifth in the junior individual skeet discipline.
The squads were made up of the following members.
Varsity Trap, 1st place, state: Elliot Bode, Sophia Bultema, Shane Gillis, Nick Priddy, and Liam Watson
Open Trap, first place, state: Cooper Biggs, Trevor Hennessey, Marco Hofelina Andrew Matticola, and Peter Soderland
JV Trap, first place, state: Luke Brames, Grace Chaikaew, Domonic Cuccinellie, Gabe Dee, and Adam Tunnelle
JV Trap, third place, sate: Simon Bode, Joseph Clune, John-Paul Maskymowicz
