Homecoming Week Information

Homecoming week is Oct. 4-8. Student council will sell homecoming tickets in the Cove every day next week. Cost is $20 for single tickets and $30 for couples. Tickets will also be for sale at the door at $20 each, so $40 for couples.

Senior Formal Pictures, Retakes on Sept. 28

Senior formal pictures and all picture retakes will be on Tuesday, Sept. 28. Seniors who are not present on Tuesday will need to make their own arrangements for formalwear in order to get a senior picture. Contact Holly Taylor at htaylor@smhscs.org with any questions.

Theater Needs Set Builders, Materials for Sets

Any Pirates interested in working on set building, setting lightings, working on props or costumes, for Pirate Theater production of Little Nell should plan to attend the first set building session on Oct. 2, from 9 am until 1 pm. Meet in the Cove! The Drama Club is also still looking for donations of materials for the sets. They need lumber, muslin, paint, etc. Anyone with questions or materials to donate should email Robin Knoepke at rknoepke@smhscs.org or speak with her in room 200.

Shadow Day, Open House Set for Oct. 8

Parents, our upcoming Shadow Day and Open House is the perfect opportunity for you to invite a friend or member of the community to experience St. Mary's High School. All are invited to come see "the Spirit of St. Mary's" at our parent/community open house on Friday, Oct. 8 at 11 am. 
The schedule for the day is as follows:
11 am: Arrival/Welcome
11:30 am: All-School Mass
12 pm: Tour (during lunch)
12:15 pm: Lunch/Parent Panel
1 pm: Senior Student Panel
1:30 pm: Classroom Visits
1:45 pm:  Q&A/Next Steps

Board Provides Guidance on Diversity Topics

The St. Mary’s Board of Directors held its annual board retreat earlier this month. In addition to reviewing the strategic plan, the board provided guidance and deadlines for the establishment and communication of policies and procedures related to diversity topics. Guidelines were also established to assist the Diversity Leadership Panel in keeping the board informed of its activities.
