COVID Update
The news is full of reports of schools changing their COVID policies and procedures. St. Mary’s continues to follow the incidence and hospitalizations in El Paso County and our COVID response remains fluid based on that data. Our No. 1 goal is to keep students in school! Masks are encouraged for those not vaccinated, but the decision is ultimately up to the parents. For more on COVID our update, click here.

Back to School Night
Plan to join us for Back to School Night on Aug. 21. This is a chance for parents to walk through their students’ schedules and meet their students’ teachers. All students' schedules will be available at the front desk for parents. Parents will also have a chance to sign up for upcoming volunteer opportunities. Our Pirate Parent volunteers make a difference at St. Mary’s.
The schedule for the night is:
- 5:45 pm: Seniors and parents have a meeting in the Cove
- 5:45 pm Q&A for freshman parents in the Gym
-5:45 pm Pizza will be sold in the Courtyard by the cheerleaders
- Back to School Night officially starts at 6:25 pm with prayer and pledge and runs through periods ending at 8 pm.
- During Pirate Period, parents will have a chance to hear from the president and principal.

Remember to Check the Calendar
All schedules, activities, and events are included on the calendar on our app (search St. Mary’s Pirates in you app store) and website. On the website, use the Quick Links tab at the top of the home page and navigate to Calendar. Once on the Calendar page, use the Select Filter option to sort the listings by event. On the app, click Calendar from the menu. From the Calendar page you can scroll through the listings, filter them out using the funnel icon in the top right corner, or use the calendar icon to see a monthly calendar. The dots on the monthly calendar show which dates have a listing; tap the date it will take you to that date.

Log Volunteer Hours
This year St. Mary’s is using a new system through MobileServe to log volunteer hours. Students should have received an email about how to log Community Service hours through MobileServe. If it’s not in the student’s school email inbox, check the trash file. Parent volunteers need to download the MobileServe app and use the code AD5EAE to begin logging hours.

Daily Mass Open to All
Fr. Joe Dygert offers Mass at 7am, Monday through Thursday in St. Mary’s St. Leo Chapel.  Students, parents, families, friends and staff are welcome to attend; participants should enter through the main (north) doors. Any changes to the Mass schedule will be published here in the Signal.

Mass and Coffee with President and Principal
