St. Mary's administrators talk with the community about welcoming Robyn Cross to the position of principal starting June 1 and talking about the second semester of the 2020-2021 school year.

Here are some highlights from the town hall.  The video of the meeting is included below.

- Be patient!  We are a year into the pandemic and we still have a ways to go.  Be more patient with others than the circumstance requires.
- PSAT.  Testing next week for freshman, sophomores and juniors.  Details in a separate e-mail.
- Sports.  There are significant limitations on spectators for the upcoming sports season.  Due to the small numbers allowed, spectators will likely be limited to family members of the athletes.
- Live Streaming.  But you can still get your St. Mary's Pirates sports fix!  We will live stream our athletic events.  The live stream team could use some help.  This is a great volunteer opportunity, a great way to support the Pirates, and a great way to watch an athletic event in person.  Contact Amy Partain (apartain@smhscs.org) to volunteer.
- Fridays.  We will reserve Fridays for community days of fun and bonding at the Grace Center (weather permitting).  This Friday we are planning a Community Play Day’ at the Grace Ctr--Ultimate Frisbee for sure-- and other games as available.  12-2 Sponsored by Ultimate Frisbee Club and Senate.   (Again, weather permitting!!!)
- Ash Wednesday.  We are working on building a schedule for Ash Wednesday (Feb. 17) that will allow our students to attend Mass with their family at their home parish.  Details to follow no later than Mon, Feb 1.  Please take advantage of this opportunity to spend some spiritual time together as a family.
- Seniors.  Plans are ongoing for prom, Baccalaureate, and graduation.  Stay tuned.
- Next Year.  Planning for the next academic year (2021-2022) is also underway.  Watch for details on making course requests for the fall semester.
