St. Mary's Families,

Sunday blessings to you.  Saint Lea, pray for us.

Updates...  Let me address a couple of questions that have come up in the last few days:

- We've had some requests for student access to the school.  As a reminder, no students or non-staff in the building.

- However, if your student needs something from the school, please contact us and we will retrieve the item as quickly as we can.  When we can re-open the school to non-staff, we will let the community know.

- Community Service hours.  Students are obviously going to have a difficult time accomplishing their community service hours during this time frame.  We won't be able to definitively answer this question until we know when we will be able to resume "normal" activities.  That said, as your students navigate this situation, there are opportunities to be of service.  For example, if it snows in the next month and they get out and shovel neighbor's walks and driveways, that would be a way to get out of the house, get some exercise, not violate group gathering protocols, and earn some service hours.

COVID-19 coronavirus.

- Parents, instead of just directing you to the main CDC page for COVID-19, here is a link to the page with guidelines for parents. www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prepare/children.html

Video from the president, go to the school home page.  (I promise you, with five laughing family members in the background, it was more painful for me to make the video than it will be for you to watch it...) See the video above.

How you can help

- It's Sunday, so I won't mention raffle tickets...  Since it is Sunday, today would be a great day to gather as a family and pray together.  This would be a great day to tune into an online Mass (live or a recording) and/or read the Sunday Mass readings as a family.

- If you have a special way you are gathering to pray as a family, please let me know, I'd like to hear about it.

How are your students doing?

- Did you get out of the house this weekend?  Plays some cards?  Build a puzzle?  Yes, these are challenging times, but this is also an opportunity, take advantage of it!

Prayer.

THE MEMORARE
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help, or sought thy intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother.
To thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions,
but in thy mercy, hear and answer me.
Amen.

Respectfully,
Rob Rysavy
