HISTORY BOOK

A Pirates’ Treasure: The History of St. Mary’s High School, 1885-2010 is a comprehensive history of St. Mary’s first 125 years. Written by SMHS alum parent Jeanie Ahrens, this nine chapter work is the result of hundreds of hours of research, including countless primary sources and personal interviews. The reader will enjoy learning about the school’s earliest days in Colorado Springs all the way up to the naming of its new president in December of 2009. Chapter nine includes tributes to Leo Smentowski ’54 and Fr. Rawley Myers. The cost is only $20 which covers any shipping and handling.

THE GALA DVD

The Gala DVD contains both the slideshow are assorted video footage from the 125th Anniversary Gala Dinner and Auction on April 17, 2010. The cost is only $15, which covers shipping and handling.

1885 FUND

Yes! I would like to contribute to the 1885 Fund. The 1885 Fund was established at the 125th Anniversary Gala as a permanent fund to honor the Sisters of Loretto who founded the school in 1885, Monsignors Raber, Kipp, Kelly and Hoffman who guided the school as pastors, superintendants and principals, lay leaders such as Leo Smentowski '54, Tom Kelly and Andy Middlemist and, of course the hundreds of faculty and staff who have served the school so unselfishly over the decades.
